FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT POLICY

Platform Church is a registered non-profit organization, working alongside Platform Cares and the One Rand Project. We observe strict financial managing procedures and money is handled with integrity and a spirit of excellence, delivering on what is promised and reporting all spending to the boards.

The Advisory Board comprises of key business people and staff who bring in godly wisdom and sound financial expertise to the organization. They meet regularly with Senior Pastor, Apostle Darlington Steve Omeiza, as the Chairman, Lead Pastor, and visionary leader. The senior pastors have full leadership to direct the church but have no ownership of any assets of the church.

Audited internal controls are adhered to in the handling, banking, and spending of church finances.

The Senior Pastors have chosen not to be signatories on any church payments. As a further security measure, all payments made require two signatories. The financials are read out yearly stipulating how the church is performing so the members can see where their resources are spent.

The Advisory Team determines the salary of the Senior Pastors and staff. The church’s financial records and systems get audited annually by a registered auditing company and submitted to the South African Revenue Service (SARS) and the Department of social development (DSD).
